With effect from Tuesday 2nd May, 2017 we will be restricting the opening times at our Branch Surgery to Mornings Only. Afternoon appointments will be available for our patients, registered at the branch, to be seen at Cumberland House, Stone as an interim measure.

We can confirm that 5 out of 8 GPs at Cumberland House Practice and Barlaston Health Centre, will have left by 9th June 2017.   We continue recruitment attempts for replacement GPs but, as is the case nationally with falling GP numbers, this has not been possible so far.

We have, however, been successful in recruiting several allied health professionals; 2 Practice Matrons, Advanced Nurse Practitioner and we are also exploring the use of Practice Pharmacists and Physicians Assistants.

We have had discussions with NHS England and Stafford and Surrounds Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) with the aim of ensuring that a service in Barlaston will be maintained.

With the help and assistance of NHS England and the CCG we are confident that our new workforce model will be in place by that date.

Our aim is to continue to provide high quality health care in these difficult times and we value the continued support of our patient population and our dedicated staff.
