Repeat Prescriptions

 

Repeat prescription requests should be handed in with 48 hours notice. The signed prescription can be sent back to you if an stamped-addressed envelope if attached or sent to local pharmacy of your choice.

 

For safety and efficiency reasons please do not request repeat prescriptions over the phone as mistakes are more likely to occur.

 

Please note your repeat slip has a review date for you to see the doctor and may contain other messages regarding your medicines.

 

Should a change in your medicines be directed by a specialist at a hospital out-patient visit, please also allow 48 hours for this to be processed. Urgent changes in these circumstances will be made through the hospital pharmacy.

 

On-line Service

 

We now have a secure website called Patient Access which allows you to request your repeat prescription online.  To access this service you will need to register for an account prior to your first log in.  

 

For security reasons the patient must prove their identity to the reception staff who will then supply a registration document with personalised access code.  The patient can only apply in person and we require photo-ID for the person making the application or alternatively a birth certificate if no photo ID is available.  Only patients aged 16 years and over are able to register for Patient Access.

 

All data contained within Patient Access is protected using the highest standard internet security so you can be sure all your personal information is safe and secure.
